I like a lot of Harry's advice - but I'm not sure about throwing writing away if you feel you've made a wrong turn. My problem is I feel like I've made a wrong turn right from the start. Don't you find sometimes you have to write your way into things? And go easy on yourself when you're writing that clunnky first draft?
